DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) - The Iowa Department of Public Safety (DPS) launched an upgrade to its Sex Offender Registry (SOR) website.

Hunter Bellon, a special agent in charge of the Iowa DPS’s SOR, says the department’s goal with the upgraded website is to provide Iowans with an updated, intuitive and accessible platform for vital information.

“We are committed to transparency and safety, and this new website will help ensure that critical information about sex offender registrants remains readily available to the public,” said Bellon.

The upgrade includes new designs, aimed at making the site easier and “more efficient for users to find the information they need.”

New features include:

Homepage links for active, registered offenders and most wanted registered offenders.
