ALGONA, Iowa (KTIV) - A jury trial is now set for a man facing a vehicular homicide charge in Kossuth County in Northern Iowa.

The trial for 18-year-old Kai-Remmington Pearce of Spencer is expected to take place on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. in Kossuth County.

Pearce faces one count of homicide by vehicle - reckless driving after a collision between a motorcycle and a car in July 2024.

Court documents show the vehicle collision happened on Monday, July 28, 2024, at the intersection of Highway 18 and 160th Ave. between Algona and Sexton. It involved a gray Nissan Sentra and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Authorities say the driver of the Nissan Sentra, identified as Pearce, ran a stop sign at Highway 18 while driving south on 160th Avenue.
