LAKE FOREST, CA — According to local man Todd Lyons, there's simply no room in the budget for his family to tithe as they are already having to spend $30,000 a year on travel baseball for their 10-year-old son.

"I'm afraid there's simply no room in the budget for giving to the Lord," Lyons reportedly told church leadership. "You have no idea how much travel baseball costs. It's big commitment we simply have to keep to ensure our son continues getting to hit a ball with a stick. Thank you for understanding."

According to the Lyons, tithing isn't the only thing affected by travel baseball, as the team has games nearly every Sunday. "Travel baseball takes a lot of time. We're in a new town basically every weekend during the season, so we just don't have time for church," said Patricia Lyons
