The Detroit Tigers certainly aren't looking forward to next year yet, but it's fun to speculate about the future of one of baseball's most promising young teams.

It was around this time last year that the Tigers began their last-minute push for a playoff spot, which was not only successful, but built the foundations of their American League-best record this year entering play on Friday.

But the Tigers also made wise offseason moves, not the least of which was signing former New York Yankees second baseman Gleyber Torres to a one-year, $15 million contract.
