SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) -- For those who frequently travel East Colvin Street, prepare to plan for slowdowns.

According to the NYSDOT, East Colvin Street will be reduced to one lane, between Garfield Avenue and Moore Avenue, with alternating traffic controlled by a flagger, in the City of Syracuse.

The closure will take place from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, and Tuesday, Aug 26, and is to facilitate utility work, which is part of the I-81 Viaduct Project.

Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change based on conditions.
