SHELBY COUNTY, Ill. (WAND) - The Shelby County Sheriff's Office said it's taken recent reports of stolen or missing cows.

The department posted on Facebook Friday afternoon about the missing or stolen cattle. It said the reports have been taken in the southern part of the county. It also warned that reports are also possible south of Shelby County.

The post didn't say how cows may be missing or stolen.

The department is asking cattle owners to keep an eye on numbers and report any discrepancies.

If anyone has information about missing or stolen cows they should call the Shelby County Sheriff's Office at 217-774-3941.
