MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The murder trial for Hernandez Govan ended yesterday morning with the 45-year-old being acquitted on two charges for first degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.

After the jury's verdict, the Shelby County District attorney shared his thoughts and said this was not the time to offer hindsight criticism.

While Govan's defense attorney, Manny Arora, said his client should never have been charged.

This has some now picking apart the prosecution.

There were two Associate District Attorneys, as part of the trial team.

Assistant District Attorney, Irris Williams, gave the opening statement.

"Look at all of the photos and exhibits you will see the consequences of Govan's actions," she stated.

She also gave the closing argument, followed by Asst. District Attorney
