MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Yard signs, stickers and car decals — a collective voice is growing louder in Marshall County with the goal of stopping the sewer project from taking shape.

“A lot of people here have already put their homes up for sale, and there’s going to be a whole lot more because they can’t afford it,” says Connie Gibbs, a homeowner who lives on Holem Lake.

Holem Lake is one of the neighborhoods a part of PSA 1 — an area the Marshall County Regional Sewer District is working to create a sewer system for.

The sewer district is an independent board of appointed officials. They are working to create a sewer system Marshall County residents would have to hook up to unless they qualified for an exemption.
