ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Michigan man was charged Monday with 16 felonies after police said he stole from an Ulta store more than 30 times.
Court Documents said Jamal Shepard took more than $20,000 worth of items from the Ulta on Elm Park Road between April 9 and Aug. 18 of this year.
St. Louis County prosecutors charged Shepard with 16 counts of stealing $750 or more, a class D felony. He was being held at the St. Louis County Justice Center on a $50,000 bond.
Court documents said Shepard would enter the store with his face covered with a bandana or plastic shopping bag, sometimes appearing at the store shirtless. Police said he would walk in the store, go straight to the perfume section and take both testers and full bottles of designer fragrances.
