SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - A Scott County judge sentenced a Charleston man to 25 years in prison for his role in a 2022 murder in Sikeston.

According to Scott County Prosecuting Attorney Don Cobb, 20-year-old Courtez McGee was a juvenile at the time, but certified and charged as an adult.

Cobb called the crime a gang-related shooting that simply hit an innocent bystander....and said older gang members often use younger ones to pull the trigger to try and avoid the adult criminal system.
