After reaching high temperatures near 80° earlier on today, the mercury will gradually dwindle from 75° around dinnertime to 69° by 10 o’clock under partially cloudy to mostly cloudy skies. Our gradually increasing cloud cover late this evening is all due to our next weather maker, an inbound cold front. While this passing frontal boundary isn’t expected to bring about much in the way of showers or storms late this evening or overnight, it will help plunge temperatures to their lowest point in months over the next several days We will wake up to a morning low temperature near 65° in Madison early Saturday under partially cloudy skies
