BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- Two people from Orange County, Florida are dead after a crash occurred in Genesee County early Friday morning, according to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.

Officials said 20-year-old Brianna Welsh, of Apopka, Fla., was driving westbound on Griswold Road in LeRoy around 6:20 a.m. when she allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign. She collided with a truck traveling northbound on West Bergen Road, officials said.

Welsh and a passenger in her vehicle, 20-year-old Mallen Mello, also of Apopka, died at the scene. The driver of the truck, 36-year-old Timothy Briggs, of Piffard, N.Y., was not injured.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
