In the face of a fresh scandal, Mayor Eric Adams remains defiant.

“When you were calling around to my staff, saying, ‘Is the announcement today that Eric is stepping down?’ Hell no.”

The mayor told New Yorkers that he is not resigning or dropping his bid for a second term in office.

“I’m not going to leave this city to a beret-wearing carnival display. I’m not going to leave it to a dangerous person who put dangerous laws on the books, from cannabis to bail reform,” Adams said, referring to Curtis Sliwa and Andrew Cuomo, respectively.

“I’m not going to leave this city to someone that doesn’t understand what it means to run a city. That went from being a rapper to an assemblyman,” Adams continued, referring to Zohran Mamdani.
