SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Police arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with a series of intentionally set fires that damaged several downtown properties earlier this week.
According to SPD, patrol officers responded to three separate fires in the early morning hours of August 21, 2025. The fires occurred in the 400 block of West Main Avenue, the 400 block of West Riverside Avenue and the 300 block of West Spokane Falls Boulevard. Police said all three properties were damaged.
Patrol officers collected evidence at the scenes and identified a person of interest. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit later obtained video footage from nearby businesses. On August 22, detectives arrested Troy A. Silk, 45, for three counts of second-degree arson.
