SPOKANE, Wash. -- The person suspected of setting fires along the downtown Spokane corridor early Thursday morning has been arrested.

According to Spokane Police, 45-year-old Troy A. Silk was charged with three counts of second-degree arson.

Silk is accused of setting a series of fires in the downtown corridor early Thursday morning. The fires happened on West Main, West Riverside and West Spokane Falls Boulevard.

Three separate properties were damaged by these fires.

SPD said video footage from surrounding businesses showed Silk in the area when the fires broke out.

Silk was already booked at the Spokane County Jail for unrelated crimes when he was arrested for arson.
