A massive explosion at Smitty's Supply in Roseland has caused a mandatory, emergency evacuation. Advertisement

A one-mile evacuation zone has been established, and the duration of the evacuation remains unknown at this time.

Hood Memorial Hospital is outside of the mandatory evacuation center and are they are currently monitoring the situation in coordination with emergency officials.

The hospital says at this time, facility remains operational, and are preparing to take all necessary actions as advised to ensure the safety of patients, staff and community.
