LACY LAKEVIEW, Texas (KWTX) - A Central Texas teenager left a baby inside a hot car and ran inside a home when a police officer investigating a disturbance followed him to a residence.

Bryan Alvarado-Gomez, 17, is charged with abandoning or endangering a child, a state jail felony, and violation of a protective order.

Shortly before 9 p.m. on Aug. 20, Lacy Lakeview police officers were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Lacy Drive to investigate a disturbance.

One of the officers spotted Alvarado-Gomez leaving the scene of the disturbance in a vehicle and followed the teenager to a residence in the 2800 block of Old Dallas Highway.
