COXSACKIE — After last fall for the Coxsackie-Athens football team, some feared for the program’s long-term future.

The Riverhawks struggled with numbers in 2024, forfeiting a Sept. 27 game versus Fonda-Fultonville at halftime. Two weeks later, after no additional in-game action, their season was canceled.
