OLD TOWN -- Police are keeping a watchful eye on public areas after they say vandalism cases are on the rise.
New security cameras have been put up around areas vandalism has occurred, including the Old Town park.
Officers say they've had to target more than typical graffiti. They say a lot of damage has occurred in public bathrooms where toilet paper holders have been ripped off walls, toilets were intentionally clogged and other property damage has occurred.
"We do have cameras throughout the park itself, in the gazebo, and some of the other ones are just around the area," shared Officer Brenden Hinman.
The P.D. arrested and charged one juvenile earlier in the month in connection with vandalism in those bathrooms. Officer Hinman says his hope is that increased security cameras will
