BANGOR -- The fall sports preseason is in full swing and it's only right check in with the defending Class A state champs the Bangor Rams.

The Bangor girls soccer team capped off an outstanding season season last fall by raising a state championship trophy in November. The rams return 18 varsity letter players from that team.

They credit the competitive nature of last years squad a major reason for success and are looking for more of the same this season.

"I think we were so successful because we were honestly all so competitive, especially with all the players that worked hard in practice," said Bangor senior attacking midfielder and captain Clara Oldenburg.
