HUDSON — Ryan Turnbull’s first season as Hudson’s head football coach in 2023 was a challenging one, with low numbers forcing the Bluehawks to cancel their season in late September for a second year in a row.

“It was terrible,” he said. “The look on guys’ faces, they were just really disappointed. The kids that have worked really hard, that have gone through this program, that have gone through Pop Warner, that have gone through modified and then have worked really hard to get up to this level, and then to have to cancel the season, [it] is just very difficult.”
