A New Jersey man working as a caregiver at a facility for adults with disabilities has been charged with abusing one of his patients, according to the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
Fuller P. Williams, 45, was working at the Friends of Cyrus Adult Day Services Program on White Birch Trail in Medford Township, New Jersey, when he allegedly hit a man living with Autism with a thin cord, officials said.

The cord left welts on the man's back and buttocks, according to officials.
Other staff members at the facility found the injuries on the patient and called police to report the alleged abuse, officials said.
Williams was charged with endangering the welfare of a disabled adult and simple assault.
