Kroger donates $100,000 to food bank

Community Harvest Food Bank has received a $100,000 donation from Kroger, officials announced Friday. Carmen Cumberland, president and CEO of Community Harvest, said the gift will help local families facing hunger.

“Through their gift to the Farm to Food Bank program, we’re able to keep food dollars in our community while providing fresh, wholesome food to neighbors who might otherwise go without,” she said in a statement. “This partnership shows how businesses and nonprofits can work together to create healthier, stronger communities.”
