HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Old Hickory Lock will be closed for maintenance and repairs next week, according to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District.
The lock will be closed to all navigation traffic, including recreational vessels, from Aug. 27 through Aug. 28.
Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.
USACE said the closure comes after an inspection, where it was determined that the hydraulic oil in the lock gates and valve cylinders needed to be replaced.
Crews will be replacing around 3,000 gallons of hydraulic oil in the lock gates and valves during the closure.
The lock will be reopened and operate on its regular hours on Friday, Aug. 29.
