YORK, S.C. (WBTV) - A former deputy from Tennessee was indicted on multiple child sex crimes out of York County, South Carolina.

Jonathan Nathaniel Allen – also known as Josh Taylor, Josh Smith, and Top_Cry2744 – was accused of coercing a young teenage girl in York County into sending sexual photos and videos to him. He also allegedly told the girl he was 14 years old, despite being 25.

According to the indictment, he used the app TextMe and social media site Reddit.

Allen had served with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee from 2021 until the investigation began in early December 2024.
