HOUSTON – Residents at Timber Ridge Townhomes on Houston’s North Side report serious safety hazards and maintenance issues, including electrical fires, water damage, and mold problems that have gone unaddressed for months.
Multiple tenants described dangerous living conditions and a pattern of negligent response from property management, with some incidents potentially threatening residents’ lives.
Shantay Jackson, a three-year tenant, experienced an electrical fire in her bathroom on August 4.
“The fire alarms didn’t even go off,” Matthews said. “I woke up in the middle of the night, around 3 or 4 a.m., choking from the smoke.”
New Texas laws aim to combat deed theft, fraud, and forgery starting Sept. 1
She reports still living without proper lighting weeks after the incident.
