OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - An overgrown property in southwest Omaha has aggravated neighbors for months.
Near 144th Street and Hillsdale Avenue, there’s a chunk of land that often catches overflow after heavy rains fill Lake Zorinsky to the west.
But most of the time, it’s a dry field that neighboring homeowners said has not been mowed in quite a while.
A neighbor contacted First Alert 6, and Omaha Weeds and Litter sent violation notices to two private firms, who are the registered owners of the property.
It appears those owners had the weeds cut just before a city deadline.
So after First Alert 6 made some calls, the field has been cut and the eyesore is healing.
