2. Valor Christian (1-0) won at No. 8 Pine Creek, 36-14 : Facing third-and-20 with his team trailing by five in the second quarter, sophomore QB Titus Huard found Cash Spence along the sideline, and the senior Colorado Mines commit did the rest to score a game-swinging 40-yard TD. It was the second of three TDs for Spence, who helped the Eagles survive a sloppy, rain-soaked affair that featured countless mishandled snaps and fumbles.
