As the high school football season kicks off across the state, the Sacramento region will be in the national spotlight Saturday night when the Folsom Bulldogs make their way into Del Paso Heights to meet the Grant Pacers in week one.
That matchup will feature two football programs with more than 30 student-athletes with Division I college offers between the two teams.
Folsom quarterback Ryder Lyons is one of those standout athletes who, earlier in the summer, committed to play for Brigham Young University after receiving more than 30 scholarship offers from top college football schools.
"Preparation plus opportunity breeds success," Lyons said.
