Officers with the California Highway Patrol Friday began pursuing a motorcyclist in the El Monte area.

The pursuit began at around 9 p.m. as authorities wanted to stop the motorcycle and another one for speeding.

While the other motorcycle got away, the motorist traveled as fast as 100 miles per hour at one point, quickly making his or her way into Alhambra.

The motorcyclist at one point went into a parking structure to evade police.
