Ultimately, the Mohawk offensive attack proved too much for the Neshannock defense, totaling 402 yards in a 37-20 victory at home.
Mohawk (1-0) led by just six points heading into halftime but struck for 11 points while posting a shutout in the third quarter to give itself some breathing room heading into the final stanza. Joe Nail finished with five receptions for 101 yards through the air. On the ground, Cash Stratton had 23 carries for 136 yards and two touchdowns, while Bobby Fadden had 82 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries.
