The Washoe County Sheriff's Office arrested four people in Sun Valley on Thursday after a multiweek investigation led to search warrants issued for drug law violations and storage of stolen property, including cars.

Online posts showed a long processional of police vehicles racing toward something serious on Thursday. The sheriff's office remained quiet on what happened until releasing some information Friday night.

Evidence where the arrests were made on Gerdes Avenue in Sun Valley is linked to 10 active criminal investigations, according to the sheriff’s office.

The mass response included sheriff deputies, weapons and tactics teams and a K-9 unit. The sheriff's office referred to the response as a “high-risk search warrant.”
