INDIANAPOLIS — An investigation is underway after one person was killed in a shooting Saturday morning.

Police say they believe a second person was injured in that shooting.

It happened around 2 a.m. in the 3300 block of Graceland Avenue, which is just east of 34th Street and North Meridian Street. Few details were immediately available, but an IMPD spokesperson said officers checking on a report of a shooting found a person with an apparent gunshot wound. That victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition but later died from their injuries.

A short time later, a person with a gunshot wound sought treatment at an Indianapolis hospital. That person is believed to have been injured in the incident on Graceland Ave. A spokesperson said that person was "awake and breathing."
