BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — An 18-year-old was arrested after allegedly shooting a person in the leg on Indiana University Bloomington's campus.

According to IU Police and Public Safety , IUPD responded to the area of 10th and Walnut Grove streets around 3 a.m. Aug. 23.

When officers arrived on scene, they said they discovered that a person was shot in the leg. They were taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect is an 18 year old female, police said. She initially fled the scene in a vehicle, but has been detained by police.

Police said this was an "isolated domestic incident."

Based on the initial investigation, police said the victim and suspect are not affiliated with IU.

No other injuries were reported.
