The 2025 college football season is set to get underway on Saturday, Aug. 23.

However, when No. 20 Kansas State kicks off versus No. 21 Iowa State , the game will not be played stateside. Rather, the matchup between the Wildcats and Cyclones will be part of the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin .

The 2025 season marks the fifth time a college football game will be played in the Classic, which is hosted at Aviva Stadium in Dublin. The first-ever Aer Lingus College Football Classic was played on Sept. 3, 2016, when Georgia Tech beat Boston College 17-14. The Yellow Jackets earned a 27-24 win over No. 10 Florida State to kick off the 2024 season last year.
