Was a Niagara Falls city councillor out of line when he alluded to a criminal charge against him during a recent council meeting?
At least one resident thinks so.
Joedy Burdett has filed a complaint with the city’s integrity commissioner, alleging Coun. Mike Strange breached the city’s code of conduct, and that bylaw breaches and potential violations of the Municipal Conflict of Interest Act and human rights law came into play.
The Niagara Falls Review obtained a copy of his complaint, which accuses Strange of acting in “personal pecuniary and reputational interests” when he spoke during a July meeting .
