UPDATE: The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension issued the following statement Saturday morning:

"The Rochester Police Department has canceled the alert for Jonathan Spalding. He was found safe. Thank you to everyone who assisted in locating and sharing the information."

ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Rochester Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in finding a missing man, Jonathan Spading.

Spading, 37, is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, weighing 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen leaving his Rochester home on August 22 at 8 a.m. wearing a grey shirt, black shorts, and dark grey Sketchers.

He drives a black 2016 Toyota 4Runner with Colorado license plate DXMX51. Authorities believe he may be in the vicinity of Lake Zumbro, northeast of Orono
