Nearly 100 crossing guards and in-school safety advocates employed by Chester-based Safe Corridors received training to prepare them for the year ahead.

Safe Corridors has provided crossing guards for the Chester-Upland School District since the city of Chester contracted out these services in the 2024-25 school year.

This year, Safe Corridors is also providing guards for Sharon Hill, Darby, Southeast Delco School District, Chichester School District, the Chester Charter Community School, the Chester Charter Scholars Academy and the Benchmark School in Marple. Company officials anticipate adding more soon.

On Thursday, Safe Corridors held professional development training for their employees at the Power Home Remodeling site on Seaport Drive in Chester.
