The suspect in the deadly shooting Friday, Aug. 22 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit was taken into custody early Saturday morning, according to the Detroit Police Department.

Mario Green was taken into custody without incident shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday in the 5200 block of Lemay St. in Detroit, according to a news release.

Police also identified the victim as Latricia Green.

Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said Friday that Green, 53, reportedly got in an argument with his former spouse, who was about 40 and worked at the Detroit-based hospital, in the basement of the facility. At some point he pulled out a firearm, shooting her multiple times and killing her, Bettison said. It's unclear how Green was able to gain entry to parts of the hospital.
