Longtime Vancouver Winemaker Ben Stuart opened a new Dovetail Cellars tasting room in downtown Vancouver this month.

The location, a brick building next to the historic Providence Academy at 404 E. Evergreen Blvd., was constructed in the 1940s as a gymnasium and later converted into a preschool.

Stuart is planning a grand opening Sept. 5. Dovetail will be open through August from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 2 to 8 p.m. Saturdays.
