MAYFIELD, Ky. (KFVS) - A 14-year-old is facing more charges in connection with a shooting near a western Kentucky high school football game.
According to Mayfield Police Chief Nathan Kent, police have found more evidence and identified additional victims related to the shooting on August 22.
Following witness interviews, he said the 14-year-old suspect now faces additional charges, including five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a minor - first offense and unlawful possession of a weapon on school property.
The 14-year-old male from Fulton, Ky. was arrested for first-degree assault.
He is currently being held at a juvenile detention center.
Chief Kent said the juvenile shot 18-year-old Jordan Riley of Farmington, Ky., in his arm and upper torso.
