HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) -- Horry County police are investigating an early morning shooting near Longs that left a person dead.

Authorities said it happened just before 4 a.m. on the 2400 block of Plantation Drive. Officers found a person in a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds who was eventually pronounced dead.

The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with information, photos or videos related to the incident is asked to call (843) 915-8477 or email the tip inbox at crimetips@horrycounty.gov.
