The Dodgers received the 41st overall pick in the 2025 draft by acquiring it from the Cincinnati Reds in an offseason trade (along with Mike Sirota) for Gavin Lux. They used that pick to draft outfielder Charles Davalan, a left-handed, leadoff-type, contact hitter who rarely chases. Davalan was recently promoted to Low-A Rancho Cucamonga, and in his first two games, he was already flashing his talent, getting hits, stealing bases, and picking up an outfield assist.
