COLUMBIA, S.C. — Authorities say one person has died following a shooting at a Columbia gas station on Friday night.

A Columbia Police spokesperson said the shooting happened around 10 p.m. at 3213 Farrow Road. Officers arrived to find the victim, a man, with one or more gunshot wounds to the upper body. Police said he was taken to an area hospital but died from his injuries.

Officials said the investigation is still very active. While details regarding a motive weren't available as of mid-morning on Saturday, police said they believe this was an isolated incident.
