FLORENCE — The Florence County Museum will present "The Three-Quarter Portrait," on display in the museum's Education Gallery Aug. 26, 2025, through Feb. 1, 2026. The exhibition features a selection of works by notable Southern artists, including Elizabeth White, James Fowler Copper, Alfred Hutty, William M. Halsey, Hubert Shuptrine, Beverly Grantham Derrick, Stephen Scott Young, and others.

This collection showcases the intimacy and formality of the three-quarter view technique in portraiture, a technique whose history dates to Mesopotamia.
