ROSELAND, La. — Officials said Saturday that crews continue battling a , where an evacuation order remains in place.
Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said no deaths or injuries have been reported. “We thank the Lord for taking care of all of the people that were there, and there's been no injuries since in all of the response,” Miller said during a news conference.
Miller said 42 evacuees are currently being housed at a community shelter, with arrangements being made for continued housing through at least Sunday.
Air quality testing began Friday afternoon and is ongoing. He emphasized that speculation on social media has spread misinformation, urging residents to rely on official updates.
