The Thursday Murder Club star Helen Mirren has spoken out about what lies ahead for the Netflix film.

Adapted from former Pointless presenter Richard Osman' s bestselling 2020 murder mystery novel, The Thursday Murder Club has been brought to the big screen with Home Alone director Chris Columbus at the helm of the adaptation.

There has been considerable speculation surrounding the film about whether a sequel is in the pipeline, given that Osman has penned four books in The Thursday Murder Club series with a fifth due out next month.

The second book is called The Man Who Died Twice and was released in 2021, but whilst there is source material available for a follow-up film, no official announcement has been made that it will proceed.
