A Gilmore Girls star has been cast in a biopic alongside a legend from An American Werewolf in London.

The upcoming biopic, Joy Will Prevail, which recently completed production, focuses on the final three years of the life of Louis Kahn, an Estonian-born American architect, and the relationships that influenced his last residential commission.

Before his death in 1974, Kahn was frequently hailed as "America's foremost living architect", responsible for designing The Salk Institute in La Jolla and the First Unitarian Church in New York.

Griffin Dunne, known for his role as Jack Goodman in An American Werewolf in London in 1981, will portray Kahn.
