BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala (WKRG) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating a crash that killed one woman and injured another person in north Baldwin County.

State troopers say the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. Friday on Alabama State Route 287, five miles north of the Bay Minette city limits.

According to ALEA, a 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe and a 2016 Mazda CX-5 collided head-on.

The passenger of the Tahoe, 43-year-old Yolanda Butler, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. She later died at the hospital.

The driver of the Mazda CX-5, 40-year-old Amanda Howell, was also taken to a hospital. Her current condition is unknown.

The driver of the Tahoe was not injured.
