Cumberland Valley boys soccer, the reigning PIAA Class 4A champion , lost its first game in nearly a year on Friday, having been shut out 2-0 by Emmaus in non-conference action.
The Eagles were last defeated on Aug. 31, 2024, nearly 365 days ago. They went on to go unbeaten, winning their first state championship on their own Eagle View Field. Friday’s season-opener between the two served as an early measuring stick for both programs.
